What is Treasure?

What is Treasure and How do I Use it?

Treasure is anything shared by an Aliveworld Member that they have found helpful in making a change or using Aliveworld. This can include practices, poems, weblinks, insights ad experience, etc... that they found particularly helpful to them in life.

This will be a great gift to many. After treasure is submitted, we get to rate on a scale of 1 to 5 stars of helpfulness. The more stars, the more it rises to the top so members of the communit can access it quicker Smile.

How to write up Treasure and share it:

1) Either click on the "My Blog" tab at the top of the screen to access your personal blog and choose "Create a new blog post". Or go to the Aliveworld home screen and click on "know of another Great Resource? Share It!"

2) Create a Title - Create a title for your helpful resource or suggestion

3) Write about it - this can be a short description on what you have found that was helpful, and if you want, why and how was it helpful to you?

4) Check box below blog to submit as treasure

5) Tags - write in words that are associated with the treasure you are submitting ? terms that will help someone find it in a search.

6) Submit to Community ? if you want to submit to one or more of the Communities you are a member of, check the relevant boxes to. Boxes will only

show up for the communities you belong to. All treasure also appears in the general treasure listings.

I think that a mini course on using the site would be helpful. Personally, no t being a computer whiz, I am finding it a bit daunting to navigate the site.

I have been using deep breathing for stress reduction since I was a ICU nurse in the late 1970's.  How I utilize the breath is I have practiced when I have been calm with my hands on my belly and on the inhale breath I say, I AM and in the exhale breath say, RELAXED.  Now because I have practiced it I can just touch my belly and the breath becomes deeper and I hear my words in "my head" that way nobody thinks I'm crasy for talking to my self as I don't have to say the words anymore.  When I am in deep stress and I need to think and calm myself and I am with people that just keep talking or bugging me I pick up the phone and people leave me alone enough for me to get by breaths in to calm myself.
